In the 15th minute, Jeronimo Villacosta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tabalongo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Paredes in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nemesio De la Sotta saved Tabalongo AFC from getting behind. In the 27th minute Fausto Rouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Rouse in the 29th minute of the match. Armando Paredes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nemesio De la Sotta came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Paredes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 32nd minute. Nemesio De la Sotta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Urko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Julian Distiratsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio De la Sotta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Felip in the 38th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Cristos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Urko to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Felip, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Nemesio De la Sotta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Urko in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Don Malbec getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Alberto Udalaitz hit a great ball. Gaby Batistuta's late challenge caught a Tabalongo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaby Batistuta helped the player get up and apologised. 63 minutes into the game, Henrico Farias threw the ball into play from the sideline. Don Malbec's Gaby Batistuta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 66 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Pomar. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Felip, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With a little luck, Don Malbec's Aurelio Astudillo got control of the ball when Jeronimo Villacosta tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Pomar got free with Aurelio Astudillo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Don Malbec succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tabalongo AFC had controlled the match.
