Broakulla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Benet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Viktor Benet sped through Cascade Park West's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harvey Mansfield. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Robin Höijer put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Harvey Mansfield. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Harvey Mansfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broakulla. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Broakulla walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
