The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Medardo in the 4th minute of play forced Arsenal de Gols F.C's goalkeeper Diamantino Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Margarita's zone, Simão Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Olo came out of the goal and Simão Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavino Olo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Alberto in the 8th minute. Diamantino Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Medardo in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Chico Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal de Gols F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Margarita the free kick. Diamantino Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Bento in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Arsenal de Gols F.C's Yuri Alberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavino Olo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Margarita got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Hever. Diamantino Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Evelio Medardo sped through Arsenal de Gols F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diamantino Catarinense. In the 37th minute Uriel Hever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Urti kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Diamantino Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Medardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The Margarita fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Margarita's Evelio Medardo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Margarita were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yuri Alberto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Arsenal de Gols F.C were awarded a corner. Tomé Ramos went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Simão Mangueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gavino Olo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Higinio Urti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Arsenal de Gols F.C getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Simão Mangueira hit a great ball. When Marquinhos Silva fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal de Gols F.C's protests and gave Marquinhos Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Arsenal de Gols F.C got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Silva. Arsenal de Gols F.C's Telmo Camargo was substituted for Rubinho Valadares. A collision led to Arsenal de Gols F.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Marquinhos Silva hit a great ball. Simão Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Olo having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Simão Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Margarita's Gavino Olo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Margarita getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Uriel Hever hit a great ball. Tomé Ramos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavino Olo. Margarita's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Uriel Hever was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Margarita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal de Gols F.C the free kick. Gavino Olo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri Alberto's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Alberto in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gavino Olo saved Margarita from getting behind. A collision led to Margarita getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Omar Montes hit a great ball. When the match was over Margarita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arsenal de Gols F.C throughout the match.
