Spectators: 189 (Terracing: 143, Seating: 43, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jamie Mayfield got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Barr Point's Jamie Mayfield sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fredric Hansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Panther came free, but Fredric Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernard Degabriele in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Syd Knott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Syd Knott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Degabriele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Metcalf to maneuver through the defense. Fredric Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Panther, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute, Barr Point's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vincent Callus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Callus got free with Syd Knott in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dejan Testaferrata Olivier was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Vincent Calluss short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Syd Knott to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Barr Point's Syd Knott got control of the ball when Vincent Callus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Syd Knott made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Vincent Callus sent off a good shot on target. Richard Rapinett took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Syd Knott. Syd Knott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Syd Knott made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Vincent Callus sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamal Dobson to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernard Degabriele was the one to do the kick off. 63 minutes into the match, Jamie Mayfield had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fredric Hansson. Meerkats FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jamie Mayfield was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 67 minutes, Phil Panther managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barr Point's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phil Panther was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 74 minutes, Billy Metcalf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barr Point and the Meerkats FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Syd Knott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Degabriele in the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Meerkats FC booed when Barr Point was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Mayfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meerkats FC's Gilbert Incorvaia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barr Point. After a defensive mix-up in Barr Point's zone, Bernard Degabriele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Syd Knott came out of the goal and Bernard Degabriele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Vincent Callus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Syd Knott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
