Silverio Sanson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cees Klein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christiaan Been showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Christiaan Been made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Cidro in the 19th minute. Uriel Paio made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Javier Pastore immediately put the ball in play. After 26 played minutes NFC Eagles 22 got a freekick which was hit by Dolf van Dongen. Igor Cidro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiaan Been read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Cees Klein struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Silverio Sanson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NFC Eagles 22. In the 32nd minute of the match, Teodosio Nuñez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christiaan Been saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Teodosio Nuñez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Christiaan Been 33 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Javier Pastore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiaan Been was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After 41 minutes, Esteve Domenech mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NFC Eagles 22 and the Characate FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, NFC Eagles 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Domenech to maneuver through the defense. Cees Klein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cees Klein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cees Klein in the 51st minute of play forced Characate FC's goalkeeper Silverio Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Pastore in the 55th minute of play forced NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Christiaan Been to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Sanson made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Cees Klein sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, NFC Eagles 22's Ron Moermans got a free kick in the 63rd minute. NFC Eagles 22's Christiaan Been played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Cidro in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Cidro came free, but Christiaan Been reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Igor Cidro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Characate FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Anastasio Gauargi with Javier Pastore as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Andreas Deinse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Pastore scored 4-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christiaan Been, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Cees Klein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Uriel Paio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Characate FC's Silverio Sanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Domenech in the 92nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Andreas Deinse got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Silverio Sanson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
