FA Sandtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Squadra Sulista the free kick. FA Sandtown's Janusz Koczara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. FA Sandtown's Vaggelis Vaakanainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Cruz in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Wilson Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Vaggelis Vaakanainen. FA Sandtown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 17 played minutes FA Sandtown got a freekick which was hit by Iwo Tomaka. Marcelo Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match FA Sandtown got a corner. Squadra Sulista's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Janusz Koczara ran over to the corner to take the kick. Squadra Sulista's Josué Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Squadra Sulista from getting a goal against them. Vaggelis Vaakanainen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Guerreiro's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the match, FA Sandtown's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Meireles came free, but Vaggelis Vaakanainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FA Sandtown booed when Squadra Sulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josué Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Czempa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Josué Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Koczara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Marcelo Pereira made a precise shot to the right of Vaggelis Vaakanainen. FA Sandtown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The FA Sandtown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Squadra Sulista were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Marcin Czempa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Josué Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelo Pereira struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Vaggelis Vaakanainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squadra Sulista. In the 76th minute, Janusz Koczara made a precise shot to the right of Josué Pinheiro. Squadra Sulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Josué Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Koczara in the 82nd minute of play. Vaggelis Vaakanainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Janusz Koczara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FA Sandtown were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Squadra Sulista's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Janusz Koczara took the corner. The corner ended in Janusz Koczara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Squadra Sulista's Josué Pinheiro did a great save. A collision led to Squadra Sulista getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Célio Cruz hit a great ball. Josué Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcin Czempa went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Squadra Sulista's zone, Janusz Koczara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Pinheiro came out of the goal and Janusz Koczara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FA Sandtown players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
