With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Florian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjörn Helström in the 41st minute of play forced INTER de Córdoba's goalkeeper Hernan Florian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Florian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Kinell in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

With an all-out effort, Houston FF's Hernan Florian threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Torbjörn Helström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gonzalo Rutenio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute, Tomas Kinell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Florian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Houston FF played a much better game than INTER de Córdoba and deserved their victory. The INTER de Córdoba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
