After some careless play in the Bezerros EC defense, Stig-Arne Bollström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo de Castro. The Bezerros EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo de Castro should have stopped the shot. Stig-Arne Bollström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Gustavo de Castro having to make a save. If Stig-Arne Bollström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Gustavo de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Arne Bollström's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Knut Samuelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Arne Bollström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo de Castro having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Sven-Ove Finnman made a precise shot to the right of Luís Gustavo de Castro. Bezerros EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Luís Gustavo de Castro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Strömsbro IF's Stig-Arne Bollström shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Stig-Arne Bollström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stig-Arne Bollström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Gustavo de Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Stig-Arne Bollström made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bezerros EC's Luís Gustavo de Castro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Gustavo de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Ove Finnman in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Gustavo de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Finnman in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Strömsbro IF were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Roberto Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Stig-Arne Bollström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Luís Gustavo de Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 55th match minute, Bezerros EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Stig-Arne Bollström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Gustavo de Castro having to make a save. Luís Gustavo de Castro made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Stig-Arne Bollström sent off a good shot on target. After 59 played minutes Bezerros EC got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Palmeira. 1-6 came through a penalty shot after 64 played minutes, when Strömsbro IF:s Sven-Ove Finnman calmly waited for Bezerros EC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. In the 67th minute, Stig-Arne Bollström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Gustavo de Castro. The goal made the score 1-7. Strömsbro IF made a substitution. Manfred Björkdahl replaced Sven-Ove Finnman. Luís Gustavo de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Björkdahl in the 72nd minute of the match. Bezerros EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Stig-Arne Bollström scored to the left of an out of position Luís Gustavo de Castro, making the score, 1-8. When Agnaldo Linares fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bezerros EC's protests and gave Agnaldo Linares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bezerros EC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Agnaldo Linares hit a great ball. In the 95thth minute of the game Manfred Björkdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bezerros EC's Luís Gustavo de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Magne Stephansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Strömsbro IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
