In the 4th minute Juliusz Slazak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Fioravanti succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Claudio Fioravanti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute, Inácio Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adilson Ceresso lost his temper 15 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The score was 2-0 after a penalty in the 16th minute, where Modlau:s Claudio Fioravanti tricked Bezerros EC:s Luís Gustavo de Castro with a difficult ball by the left post. If Juliusz Slazak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Claudio Fioravanti made a precise shot to the right of Luís Gustavo de Castro. Bezerros EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Juliusz Slazak sped through Bezerros EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo de Castro. In the 30th minute, Claudio Fioravanti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Gustavo de Castro. The goal made the score 5-0. In the 39th minute, Wojciech Pusiak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Modlau getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lester Subili hit a great ball. Zé Roberto Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Roberto Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lew Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Roberto Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Lew Yashin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bezerros EC. Zé Roberto Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Claudio Fioravanti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Gustavo de Castro was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Roberto Mesquita in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lew Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Modlau's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hélder Azevedo 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 6-1. Claudio Fioravanti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luís Gustavo de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Claudio Fioravanti made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bezerros EC's Luís Gustavo de Castro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 71 played minutes Bezerros EC got a freekick which was hit by Hílton de Sena. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juliusz Slazak in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Lester Subili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lew Yashin made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Hélder Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Modlau's Lew Yashin got control of the ball when Hélder Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute, Claudio Fioravanti made a precise shot to the right of Luís Gustavo de Castro. Bezerros EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. After having played for 91 minutes, Hélder Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bezerros EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lew Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélder Azevedo in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Modlau fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bezerros EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
