In the 7th minute, Vivaldo Brasil reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nildo Braga. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's Vivaldo Brasil got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Peres in the 12th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's goalkeeper Filiberto Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tio Patinhas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Geraldo Miranda in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Geraldo Miranda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's Filiberto Luke did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Peres in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Luke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tio Patinhas's Nildo Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Brasil in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, INDEPENDIENTEMENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Saco to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Miranda came free, but Filiberto Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Barral in the 24th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's goalkeeper Filiberto Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Geraldo Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filiberto Luke was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Ian Barral notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's Filiberto Luke. Filiberto Luke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nildo Braga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivaldo Brasil went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The corner ended in Théodore Dupeux almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tio Patinhas's Nildo Braga did a great save. In the 39th minute, INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's Vivaldo Brasil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nildo Braga. Nildo Braga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. With his leg Nildo Braga managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when INDEPENDIENTEMENTE's Vivaldo Brasil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geraldo Miranda in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filiberto Luke saved INDEPENDIENTEMENTE from getting behind.

Geraldo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Filiberto Luke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tio Patinhas. Matias Saco kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Evaristo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nildo Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Brasil in the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moncho Almonte during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filiberto Luke was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aílton Garcia. After some careless play in the Tio Patinhas defense, Vivaldo Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nildo Braga. The Tio Patinhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nildo Braga should have stopped the shot. Filiberto Luke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Peres in the 72nd minute. Nildo Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes INDEPENDIENTEMENTE got a freekick which was hit by Matias Saco. When Aldo Chavarre came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the INDEPENDIENTEMENTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Chavarre couldn't finish the play. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTEMENTE booed when Tio Patinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joélson Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The INDEPENDIENTEMENTE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tio Patinhas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
