In the 4th match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlin Shenev to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goal looked a bit too open when Benedykt Niziolek came free, but Andon Rakovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Kostadinov did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Olaf Pietras 9 minutes into the match. Nedko Telbizov kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Andon Rakovski came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Chlory's Benedykt Niziolek. But to his dismay, Benedykt Niziolek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Witold Majtyka kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Andon Rakovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Niziolek, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Radomil Zagrobelny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Andon Rakovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andon Rakovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedykt Niziolek in the 29th minute of the match. Andon Rakovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Zagrobelny, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Emil Kostadinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute of the match Lokomotiv Plovdiv got a corner. Chlory's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Avgust Tyulev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olaf Pietras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Kostadinov in the 45th minute. The supporters of Chlory booed when Lokomotiv Plovdiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobri Cheshankov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iwo Zworski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Witold Majtyka made a kick off. Lokomotiv Plovdiv were furious when Stiliyan Petrov was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute, Stiliyan Petrov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes Iwo Zworski shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Andon Rakovski to catch but Iwo Zworski was lucky. It became 1-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Nedko Telbizov kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Hristofor Misliev charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hristofor Misliev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hristofor Misliev hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Olaf Pietras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nedko Telbizov, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Chlory's Olaf Pietras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nedko Telbizov in the 86th minute of play. If Emil Kostadinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Andon Rakovski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotiv Plovdiv from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Iwo Zworski sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Andon Rakovski didn't even have to move. When the match was over Chlory could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lokomotiv Plovdiv throughout the match.
