Gustavo De la Torre struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Walery Nowacki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Club Celta de Vigo. Walery Nowacki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Everardo Arias in the 13th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Jaroslaw Lepper put in a rough tackle. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ajax! The goalkeeper, Walery Nowacki, was totally fooled by Real Club Celta de Vigo's Gustavo De la Torre, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Xuaco Otero fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Club Celta de Vigo's protests and gave Xuaco Otero a yellow card for diving instead. Xuaco Otero hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Rafal Cetnar. Gustavo De la Torre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Walery Nowacki. Ajax's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quico Camacho got free with Walery Nowacki in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Eugenio Urbina took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Walery Nowacki to make any attempt to save it. Walery Nowacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frodo Acarreta in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Ajax getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Wojciech Mietus hit a great ball. After 38 minutes of play, Ajax's Olaf Fudalej made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Micael Castelao was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eugenio Urbina might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walery Nowacki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Urbina ran back to his position shaking his head. Walery Nowacki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Urbina in the 42nd minute of the match. Everardo Arias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Walery Nowacki made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Walery Nowacki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quico Camacho, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ajax's Walery Nowacki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frodo Acarreta in the 66th minute of play. Walery Nowacki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Real Club Celta de Vigo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
