When Paul Scholes came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Gnaget United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Scholes couldn't finish the play. Cayetano Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joar Lilja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Freire was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paulopolis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Paulopolis:s Cayetano Rito showed great skill when he stopped Paul Scholes:s penalty. 15 minutes into the match, Paul Scholes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito. Cayetano Rito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Gnaget United FC's Joar Lilja slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cayetano Rito. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. When Hudson Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Paulopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson Vargas couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Hudson Vargas hit a great ball. Joar Lilja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Cayetano Rito made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joar Lilja got free with Cayetano Rito in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute Hudson Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Gnaget United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Pihlblad to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Baiano to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Rui Baiano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronnie Hellström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 55th minute, Fredric Klint ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Rito was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Hudson Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronnie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Vargas in the 61st minute of the match. In the 61st play minute Hudson Vargas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronnie Hellström. 3-1. When Sven Pååk fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gnaget United FC's protests and gave Sven Pååk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Paulopolis's Hudson Vargas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronnie Hellström. Ronnie Hellström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Thanks to some nice moves Enio Freire could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Ronnie Hellström however easily saved by the left post. Maicon Sampaio hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Nicky Butt scored 4-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Rito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the game, Gnaget United FC's Fredric Klint nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Rito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. In the 87th minute, Hugo Pihlblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Scholes in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Gnaget United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredric Klint to maneuver through the defense.
