The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to FC Lupus getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. After 12 minutes FC Lupus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernandinho Lopez who took care of the corner kick. If Benedykt Dawiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Paulopolis defense, Cyprian Jestrimski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Rito. The Paulopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Rito should have stopped the shot. The nice shot from Marcel Vieira in the 25thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Waldemar Naskrent had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The supporters of Paulopolis booed when FC Lupus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedykt Dawiec didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Paulopolis were awarded a corner. Fernandinho Lopez went to the cornerflag to take it. With an all-out effort, Paulopolis's Waldemar Naskrent threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcel Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Rzegotka in the 40th minute of play. Cayetano Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyprian Jestrimski in the 43rd minute of the match. Paulopolis's Enio Freire pulled a muscle in his back after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 47 minutes into the game, Bogdan Kilar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lupus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulopolis the free kick. Paulopolis made a substitution. Pedro Luís Capixaba replaced Enio Freire. After 48 played minutes FC Lupus got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Kilar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Vieira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benedykt Dawiec struck a weak shot in the 60th minute.
