In the 14th minute Arnaldo Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Arnaldo Ortega sped through RED BLUE STAR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pompiliu Comarnescu. In the 34th minute, Andrei Stroie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pompiliu Comarnescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Ortega in the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Arnaldo Ortega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Comarnescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Narcis Bălace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséas Baptista having to interfere. Pompiliu Comarnescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Peixoto in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Arnaldo Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Călin Rareș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Ortega in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pompiliu Comarnescu saved RED BLUE STAR from getting behind.

The wind increased when Arnaldo Ortega made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, RED BLUE STAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Rareș to maneuver through the defense. Washington Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The throw-in from Călin Rareș in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Militros F.C.'s Francisco Regis. After 64 minutes of play, Militros F.C.'s Washington Peixoto made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompiliu Comarnescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Militros F.C.'s Ronaldão Silva was substituted for Renatinho Lago. A collision led to RED BLUE STAR getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Grigore Buzgar hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Militros F.C.'s Betão Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pompiliu Comarnescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Betão Machado took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Pompiliu Comarnescu to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, RED BLUE STAR's Pompiliu Comarnescu got control of the ball when Betão Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the game George Roşulescu made a throw-in which Nicodim Stancu played forward. Narcis Bălace got in the 84th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Oséas Baptista handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Călin Rareș with George Roşulescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 87 minutes into the match, Betão Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pompiliu Comarnescu. RED BLUE STAR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Betão Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Pompiliu Comarnescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Betão Machado notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of RED BLUE STAR's Pompiliu Comarnescu. Pompiliu Comarnescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Militros F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RED BLUE STAR.
