An unexpectedly hard shot by Giampaolo Pazzini in the 12th minute of play forced Lobos Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Arnulfo Garci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Roque Cedro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Lobos Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Cedro to maneuver through the defense. A.C. Patagonia were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Lobos Fútbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Franco Fava took the corner. Franco Fava made a great header on A.C. Patagonia's corner, it was just that Lobos Fútbol Club's Arnulfo Garci managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Di Giulio in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Garci saved Lobos Fútbol Club from getting behind. If Christian Di Giulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Garci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Di Giulio in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Di Giulio in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Garci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Di Giulio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to A.C. In the 66th minute Christian Di Giulio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Garci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Lobos Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Lastur to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Lobos Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Arnulfo Garci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Fava. Christian Di Giulio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Arnulfo Garci when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Arnulfo Garci managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when A.C. Patagonia's Christian Di Giulio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arnulfo Garci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Di Giulio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Di Giulios short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Arnulfo Garci to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Christian Di Giulio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Garci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Ieltxu in the 93rd minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Arnulfo Garci managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when A.C. Patagonia's Christian Di Giulio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The A.C. Patagonia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.C. Patagonia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
