Bartlomiej Dlugi might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percival Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartlomiej Dlugi ran back to his position shaking his head. Caco de Souza's late challenge caught a Gortaty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caco de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Caco de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Cyryl Porajewski sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes didn't even have to move. Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franciszek Wicherek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrão Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grzegorz Szamotulski came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedrão Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Franciszek Wicherek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortaty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REAL VASCO RIO the free kick. In the 17th minute, Franciszek Wicherek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, REAL VASCO RIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziemowit Borcz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Emerson Trevisan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Grzegorz Szamotulski made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Grzegorz Wodaszak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Natã Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored REAL VASCO RIO's protests and gave Natã Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Natã Nogueira got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cristóvão Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ziemowit Borcz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cezary Mosiniak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percival Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When Bartlomiej Dlugi fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortaty's protests and gave Bartlomiej Dlugi a yellow card for diving instead. Bartlomiej Dlugi kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gortaty's Grzegorz Szamotulski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Sergipano in the 42nd minute of play. If Franciszek Wicherek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of REAL VASCO RIO booed when Gortaty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Mosiniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grzegorz Szamotulski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Sergipano in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Grzegorz Szamotulski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Sergipano in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Souza in the 55th minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Szamotulski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Trevisan in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, REAL VASCO RIO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bartlomiej Dlugi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 64th play minutes Ziemowit Borcz shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Percival Prestes and just under the crossbar into goal. Grzegorz Szamotulski came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by REAL VASCO RIO's Cristóvão Melo. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Souza in the 72nd minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Borcz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes in the game, Franciszek Wicherek fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Percival Prestes having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Pedrão Souza notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Gortaty's Grzegorz Szamotulski. Grzegorz Szamotulski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the match, Gortaty's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Trevisan came free, but Grzegorz Szamotulski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Natã Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Luciano Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ziemowit Borcz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Percival Prestes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 93rd minute, Klement Charlos fired a really elegant long shot, but Percival Prestes threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Franciszek Wicherek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Prestes having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Gortaty's Cyryl Porajewski tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
