Spectators: 164 (Terracing: 123, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jude Cruz took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Francisco Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CRUZ DEL SUR's protests and gave Francisco Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Cruz hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Average Joes defense, Uwe Köppchen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivar Björling. The Average Joes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivar Björling should have stopped the shot. In the 7th minute Jude Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Björling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivar Björling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Köppchen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CRUZ DEL SUR's Amato Heyboer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Finnman in the 14th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jude Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivar Björling was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Amato Heyboer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruy Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Average Joes's Filipp Krupatkih seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Filipp Krupatkih the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Average Joes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Filipp Krupatkih had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Average Joes! Ivar Björling had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping J.P. Cruz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 29th minute, Anacleto Tirado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Blanchaert to maneuver through the defense. Uwe Köppchen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ivar Björling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CRUZ DEL SUR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Jo Blanchaert scored to the left of an out of position Amato Heyboer, making the score, 1-1. In the 38thth minute of the game Jude Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Average Joes's Ivar Björling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jude Cruz in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Björling saved Average Joes from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jo Blanchaert to make the kick off. Amato Heyboer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jo Blanchaert in the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes CRUZ DEL SUR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jo Blanchaert who took care of the corner kick. In the 60th match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Gaspar Thomas got a free kick in the 62nd minute. J.P. Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Björling read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Jose Manuel Guilisasti kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Average Joes booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Pedraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amato Heyboer came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Average Joes's Jo Blanchaert. But to his dismay, Jo Blanchaert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 76 minutes into the match, Jo Blanchaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amato Heyboer. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jo Blanchaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After having played for 79 minutes, Jo Blanchaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Average Joes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jo Blanchaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jo Blanchaert in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amato Heyboer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Average Joes's goalkeeper Ivar Björling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Gonçalves came free, but Amato Heyboer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
