Hurricanes FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Herbert Sempels ran over to the corner to take the kick. Herbert Sempels made a great header on Ulan Bator Football Club's corner, it was just that Hurricanes FC's Wally Delgado managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 40th minute Herbert Sempels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wally Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Sempels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Hurricanes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ulan Bator Football Club were winning 0-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Sempels in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wally Delgado saved Hurricanes FC from getting behind. Herbert Sempels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Delgado having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Ros Vos de Vos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulan Bator Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ros Vos de Vos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wally Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Hurricanes FC's Wally Delgado got control of the ball when Herbert Sempels tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulan Bator Football Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
