With an all-out effort, Defensores de Fasano's Henry Houwing threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benigno Jesco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Saint Sophia's Victor Hugo Letelier got a free kick in the 4th minute. Edelmiro Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Henry Houwing made a huge save. When Tiburcio Peruxu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Henry Houwing was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 9th minute Fabricio Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Houwing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes Saint Sophia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domingo Guillen who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Defensores de Fasano's Edelmiro Machado getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Saint Sophia's Henry Houwing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Saint Sophia from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the game, Defensores de Fasano's Tiburcio Peruxu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Houwing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Leopoldo Rondizzoni charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Rondizzoni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Saint Sophia's Leopoldo Rondizzoni got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Saint Sophia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Edilberto Moron hit a great ball. Henry Houwing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores de Fasano's goalkeeper Justino Igon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Archibaldo Ulibarrigamboa struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Justino Igon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saint Sophia. Henry Houwing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Peruxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Saint Sophia's Henry Houwing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Peruxu in the 36th minute of play. Saint Sophia's Henry Houwing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Saint Sophia from getting a goal against them. Jacinto Grabiel hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Peruxu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Henry Houwing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Defensores de Fasano's Benigno Jesco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henry Houwing. That made the score 4-0 after 44 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Fasano's Fabricio Martinez got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edelmiro Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Saint Sophia's zone, Tiburcio Peruxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Houwing came out of the goal and Tiburcio Peruxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Houwing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Peruxu in the 53rd minute of play. Edelmiro Machado scored 5-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Houwing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benigno Jesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Houwing having to interfere. Saint Sophia's Henry Houwing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Martinez in the 64th minute of play. Cecilio Uxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Peruxu in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Houwing saved Saint Sophia from getting behind. In the 70th minute, Edelmiro Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Houwing was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 74th minute Tiburcio Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Houwing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Defensores de Fasano's Tiburcio Peruxu in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saint Sophia's goalie prevented a goal. Defensores de Fasano were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Saint Sophia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingo Guillen took the corner. Domingo Guillen made a great header on Defensores de Fasano's corner, it was just that Saint Sophia's Henry Houwing managed to reach the ball for a save. Henry Houwing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Machado in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute Fabricio Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Houwing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Houwing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Braulio Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saint Sophia's Henry Houwing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Peruxu in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Defensores de Fasano's Justino Igon got control of the ball when Pinki Floyd tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Tiburcio Peruxu made a precise shot to the right of Henry Houwing. Saint Sophia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 95 played minutes Saint Sophia got a freekick which was hit by Pinki Floyd. Edelmiro Machado scored 9-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Houwing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Defensores de Fasano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
