In the 12th minute, Leonides Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ovando Lanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Clis in the 16th minute of play forced Canteranos Fc's goalkeeper Simon Carral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Carral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Clis in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Ullún's Hector Medardo got control of the ball when Baristo Reynoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Caton lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 23 minutes into the game, one of Ullún:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hector Medardo had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Americo Bizoso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Tiniebra Pizarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canteranos Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ullún the free kick. Simon Carral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Clis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baristo Reynoso got free with Hector Medardo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ullún's zone, Ovando Lanza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Medardo came out of the goal and Ovando Lanza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Americo Bizoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hector Medardo. Americo Bizoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ovando Lanza took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hector Medardo. Hector Medardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ullún's Hector Medardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Ullún from getting a goal against them. Baristo Reynoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Medardo having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baristo Reynoso to make the kick off. The supporters of Ullún booed when Canteranos Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovando Lanza didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Canteranos Fc getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ovando Lanza hit a great ball. Hector Medardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernando Clis's late challenge caught a Canteranos Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Clis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ullún's Fernando Clis got a free kick in the 69th minute. Hector Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovando Lanza in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Ullún getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Osvaldo Cambranes hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Americo Bizoso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ullún's Hector Medardo didn't even have to move. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Medardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Simon Carral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esteban Salamon in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Bizoso in the 87th minute of play forced Ullún's goalkeeper Hector Medardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
