In the 11th minute of the match Samsunspor got a corner. VB-Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mehmet Osman Cerit ran over to the corner to take the kick. Şafak Semih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jaime Corte-Real had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şafak Şeref in the 24th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Durval Póvoas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Corte-Real who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Şafak Semih when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avelino Cunha during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Avelino Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Jaime Corte-Real could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Şafak Semih made a huge save. When Jaime Corte-Real came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Corte-Real couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 35 in the game by Gervásio Severiano from a close distance when the talented Şafak Semih managed to make a qualified save. Samsunspor's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jaime Corte-Real sped through Samsunspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Şafak Semih. Mehmet Osman Cerit took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Durval Póvoas. VB-Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Şafak Semih made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jaime Corte-Real sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Nuno Saraiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Şafak Semih. That made the score 3-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Müfit Tolgahan to strike the kick off in the second half. Şafak Semih didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gervásio Severiano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the match, Nuno Saraiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şafak Semih. Samsunspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Saraiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Corte-Real in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şafak Semih saved Samsunspor from getting behind. 80 minutes into the game, VB-Team's Jaime Corte-Real nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şafak Semih made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 83 minutes into the match, Jaime Corte-Real had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şafak Semih. Samsunspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Corte-Real was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Nuno Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şafak Semih made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Yağızhan Acıbadem kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Şafak Semih came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano. But to his dismay, Gervásio Severiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Samsunspor's Şafak Semih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Corte-Real in the 95th minute of play.
