A collision led to Tacheros de Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mauro Videl hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Jack Grealish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Tacheros de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Liberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saúl Gentiletti in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haroldo Lartaun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Grealish in the 20th minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Haroldo Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saúl Gentiletti might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haroldo Lartaun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saúl Gentiletti ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Saúl Gentiletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Vytautas Petkus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Žalia Giria and the Tacheros de Buenos Aires players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Žalia Giria's Vytautas Petkus got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute Albino Liberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Carrizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Liberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Saúl Gentiletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Lartaun having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

FC Žalia Giria made a substitution. Ramūnas Lipskis replaced Hikmet Lebib. Valentin Nicholas charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Nicholas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Godofredo Sindo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Haroldo Lartaun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saúl Gentiletti's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Haroldo Lartaun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 66th minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Haroldo Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jack Grealish came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Haroldo Lartaun could save by the left post. Saúl Gentiletti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Haroldo Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Saúl Gentiletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti in the 74th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Haroldo Lartaun was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tacheros de Buenos Aires through an amazing save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Grealish got free with Haroldo Lartaun in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Saúl Gentiletti 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. FC Žalia Giria made a substitution. Erikas Kiškunas replaced Rokas Kavaliauskas. After 82 minutes of play Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Valentin Nicholas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 83 played minutes Tacheros de Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Nicholas. In the 84th minute Valentas Damkus managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Saúl Gentiletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Lartaun having to interfere. Haroldo Lartaun was a little too slow when Saúl Gentiletti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-3. When the final whistle sounded FC Žalia Giria left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tacheros de Buenos Aires.
