The referee ignored FC Rägi's protests and gave Benjamin Geiger a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes FC Rägi got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Hurschler. 14 minutes into the game, FC Rägi's Benjamin Geiger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Sérgio Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederik Huez. After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C.'s Benjamin Fonseca got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes São Paulo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Celso Gerber. Sérgio Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Roy in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Sérgio Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frederik Huez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sérgio Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Geiger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juanito Beaudry in the 45th minute of the match.

FC Rägi made a substitution. Anatol Zuccarino replaced Juanito Beaudry. The wind increased when Wanderson Melo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Anatol Zuccarino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Hurschler came free, but Sérgio Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the São Paulo F.C. defense, Nils Eberhart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Salgado. The supporters of São Paulo F.C. booed when FC Rägi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatol Zuccarino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Huez in the 77th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Rägi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Rägi fully deserved thier win.
