The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Prospero Beila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quilaquina AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prospero Beila in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bastiaan Carel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th match minute, Heineken Youths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boukjan van Dongen to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Feliberto Nardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bastiaan Carel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bastiaan Carel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Beila, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar van Rijswijk in the 18th minute of play forced Quilaquina AFC's goalkeeper Braulio Nalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Braulio Nalo made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ralph Koopmans sent off a good shot on target. Ralph Koopmans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Braulio Nalo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Heineken Youths were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Quilaquina AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luc Vonk took the corner. Bastiaan Carel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prospero Beila's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Boukjan van Dongen charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boukjan van Dongen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Boukjan van Dongen hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Steve Heikens. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Heineken Youths:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quilaquina AFC:s goal. Feliberto Nardo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Beila to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Luc Vonk. Gerrit Hanekamp struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Braulio Nalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heineken Youths. Ralph Koopmans scored 1-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Nalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Prospero Beila's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Bastiaan Carel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gerrit Hanekamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Braulio Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Quilaquina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Quinton. The audience was convinced that Prospero Beila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bastiaan Carel was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Braulio Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan van Dongen in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Rey in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bastiaan Carel saved Heineken Youths from getting behind. When Orlando Rey came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Quilaquina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Rey couldn't finish the play. Quilaquina AFC's Braulio Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boukjan van Dongen in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Quilaquina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar van Rijswijk came free, but Braulio Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Beila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Bastiaan Carel made a huge save. After 80 played minutes Quilaquina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Quinton. Ralph Koopmans struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Braulio Nalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heineken Youths. Orlando Rey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bastiaan Carel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Braulio Nalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar van Rijswijk in the 90th minute of the match. Prospero Beila came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bastiaan Carel could save by the left post.
