After a rather tough play, Tiburones Rojos's Sixto Tristan got a free kick in the 7th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Tiburones Rojos's Ruben Lorien nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernabe George made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Cayo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Cayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Aaron Sarmiento seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aaron Sarmiento the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sarmiento de Resistencia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aaron Sarmiento had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Aaron Sarmiento got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sixto Tristan took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe George. Bernabe George dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Tiburones Rojos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Lucian made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Cebo during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Ponc in the 57th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Bernabe George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tiburones Rojos booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Cayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Tiburones Rojos defense, Esteban Lucian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Hanni. The Tiburones Rojos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Hanni should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Esteban Lucian notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Tiburones Rojos's Prospero Hanni. Prospero Hanni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Tiburones Rojos's Bernabe George threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaudencio Salomone, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernabe George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Lorien in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Romulo Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Bernabe George proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Sarmiento de Resistencia from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Gabriel Cebo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Sixto Tristan notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Sarmiento de Resistencia's Bernabe George. Bernabe George was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiburones Rojos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
