Daniel Ortel's late challenge caught a Farafulla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Farafulla FC's Ferruccio Sciarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Ostertag in the 66th minute of play. When Gabriel Ostertag came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Ostertag couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the game, Alemannia Aachen's Ludwig Unger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alemannia Aachen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
