Cláudio López's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frankie Gunn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match NAGANO F.C got a corner. Brooklyn SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcelino Lara ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Zeru Sorribes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Brooklyn SC's Frankie Gunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeru Sorribes in the 12th minute of play. Cristopher Saenz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Richard Roma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Javier Burrau made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Villagra Ygnacio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frankie Gunn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Roma came free, but Javier Burrau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Montalban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Javier Burrau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Zamora in the 26th minute of the match. When Eddie Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Brooklyn SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddie Zamora couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio López came free, but Frankie Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Brooklyn SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristopher Saenz to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, NAGANO F.C's Cláudio López sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frankie Gunn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karl-Åke Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Brooklyn SC's Titus Pierson in action when he in the 49th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Frankie Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villagra Ygnacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Frankie Gunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villagra Ygnacio in the 62nd minute of play. Xanti Cediel hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Villagra Ygnacio got free with Frankie Gunn in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 65 minutes, Jairón Jaraba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NAGANO F.C and the Brooklyn SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairón Jaraba hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Javier Burrau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of NAGANO F.C booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greg Giraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frankie Gunn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Frankie Gunn was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Villagra Ygnacio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Villagra Ygnacio really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. With a little luck, Brooklyn SC's Frankie Gunn got control of the ball when Villagra Ygnacio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Frankie Gunn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Lara. In the 98th minute Cláudio López shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Gunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
