In the 3rd minute Teofilo Unai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manoel Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Red Chicken Football's Manoel Hoffmann got control of the ball when Teofilo Unai tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Egídio de Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manoel Hoffmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 33 minutes, Erivaldo Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellington Phoenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wei Yao Shas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Manoel Hoffmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wei Yao Sha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Manoel Hoffmann skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 41st play minute Teofilo Unai came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Manoel Hoffmann. 4-0. Manoel Hoffmann made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Egídio de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Wellington Phoenix booed when Red Chicken Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomé Garcia to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Wellington Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Unai. In the 63rd minute, Betinho Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manoel Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Wellington Phoenix's Wei Yao Sha. But to his dismay, Wei Yao Sha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Valdo Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Castro in the 74th minute of play forced Red Chicken Football's goalkeeper Manoel Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luizão Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Chicken Football's goalkeeper Manoel Hoffmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Maurinho Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manoel Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The supporters of Wellington Phoenix booed when Red Chicken Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Teofilo Unai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manoel Hoffmann. Red Chicken Football's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Unai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Erivaldo Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Hoffmann having to interfere. Manoel Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Pernambucano in the 95th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Red Chicken Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Lira to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Luizão Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manoel Hoffmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Wellington Phoenix's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
