In the 6th minute, Fidel Gregory ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sobhy Paredes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Edelmiro Nikola got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 12th minute, Guido Casado made a precise shot to the right of Sobhy Paredes. E.C.Pelotas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 15th minute Romulo Matia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sobhy Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Durval Tande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Carlomagno was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 22 minutes E.C.Pelotas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Albino Oalo who took care of the corner kick. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Zeledon Udalaitz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sobhy Paredes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Matia, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sobhy Paredes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Casado in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes E.C.Pelotas got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Paraíba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Matia in the 33rd minute of play forced E.C.Pelotas's goalkeeper Sobhy Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes, Fidel Gregory mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. S. D. Pueyrredón and the E.C.Pelotas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes C. S. D. Pueyrredón got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Gregory. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Casado got free with Sobhy Paredes in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Luke Modrić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jesus Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romulo Matia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Sobhy Paredes made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guido Casado was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Durval Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to E.C.Pelotas getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Durval Tande hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Fidel Gregory notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes. Sobhy Paredes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th match minute, E.C.Pelotas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Anlohse to maneuver through the defense. C. S. D. Pueyrredón made a substitution. Claudio Inguma replaced Fidel Gregory. In the 66th match minute, E.C.Pelotas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Anlohse to maneuver through the defense. Guido Casado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Casado might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sobhy Paredes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Casado ran back to his position shaking his head. 87 minutes into the match, E.C.Pelotas's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Casado came free, but Sobhy Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Jesus Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Modrić in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the C. S. D. Pueyrredón players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
