The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlhan Binışık in the 4th minute of play forced H E P T A N's goalkeeper Orhan Seyfi Üstün to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of H E P T A N booed when Kümbetspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutalp Yağızkurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, H E P T A N's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Camargo came free, but Orhan Seyfi Üstün reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernani Camargo during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kümbetspor FK's Hernani Camargo got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yağız Alatay in the 15th minute of play forced Kümbetspor FK's goalkeeper Nebi Şevket to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in H E P T A N fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! H E P T A N:s Orhan Seyfi Üstün showed great skill when he stopped İlhan Binışık:s penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as H E P T A N's Muzaffer Özaydın slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nebi Şevket. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 21st minute, Kümbetspor FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Yağız Alatay fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 22nd match minute, Kümbetspor FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sermet Nevsal to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Yağız Alatay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nebi Şevket. That made the score 4-0 in the 35 minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Muzaffer Özaydın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Nebi Şevket was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as H E P T A N's Aktuğ Kamran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nebi Şevket. That made the score 6-0 after 42 minutes of play. Sakut Uslu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernani Camargo made a kick off. Aktuğ Kamran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Kümbetspor FK's Sinan Kuddus got a free kick in the 57th minute. Yağız Alatay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Reşat Hasanoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes Kümbetspor FK got a freekick which was hit by Kerimhan Atik. In the 71st minute, Reşat Hasanoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The H E P T A N fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 73rd minute Muzaffer Özaydın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nebi Şevket saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernani Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orhan Seyfi Üstün having to interfere. Nebi Şevket showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yağız Alatay, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute of the match, İlhan Binışık tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Orhan Seyfi Üstün saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Kümbetspor FK's İlhan Binışık in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9-0 became the score in the 86th minute when Aktuğ Kamran elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Aktuğ Kamran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. H E P T A N's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kümbetspor FK the free kick. Aktuğ Kamran kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nebi Şevket took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aktuğ Kamran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. H E P T A N's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
