Sangue nos Zóio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Filomeno Chaime scored to the left of an out of position Clemente Esteves, making the score, 2-0. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Guillermo Colas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's goalkeeper Clemente Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavino Rami. Remo Galvão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guillermo Colas. Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Taci Argün took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clemente Esteves. Clemente Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Taci Argün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Clemente Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Liher in the 40th minute of play forced Sangue nos Zóio's goalkeeper Clemente Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Paranaense's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Magallanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Paranaense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Edvaldo Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Colas having to interfere. Clemente Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 72nd match minute, Sangue nos Zóio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Rami, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Intxixu during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Bastos couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo de Brito came free, but Guillermo Colas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Bastos lined in a short shot 8-1 behind a frustrated Guillermo Colas. After 93 played minutes Club Atlético Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Intxixu. Guillermo Colas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Remo Galvão.
