Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cory Kirkland started the match with the kick off. The supporters of AZURDUY F.C. booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarod Hester didn't get a good kick on the ball. AZURDUY F.C.'s Rodrigo Balasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cory Kirkland in the 8th minute of play. After 10 played minutes, New England Minas's Jarod Hester shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Balasi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New England Minas reached it. Rodrigo Balasi came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Chris Cabezon. But to his dismay, Chris Cabezon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Urbano Beliran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dadá Ponta hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mete Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes AZURDUY F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Ostots. 27 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chris Cabezon came free, but Rodrigo Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th match minute, AZURDUY F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Curcio to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AZURDUY F.C.! AZURDUY F.C.:s Rodrigo Balasi showed great skill when he stopped Dirk Hatfield:s penalty. Rodrigo Balasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cory Kirkland, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the AZURDUY F.C. defense, Chris Cabezon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Balasi. The AZURDUY F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Balasi should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Pastor Bento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Segundo Gol, 1-2.

After a defensive mix-up in New England Minas's zone, Arnoldo Curcio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Gol came out of the goal and Arnoldo Curcio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Reno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Gol having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Cory Kirkland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Cabezon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Balasi made a huge save. In the 65th minute, Mete Ferro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Balasi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The audience was convinced that Cory Kirkland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Balasi was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 70 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Ponta. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris Cabezon during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chris Cabezon hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, Chris Cabezon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Rodrigo Balasi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodrigo Balasi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Cabezon's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Rodrigo Balasi came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Chris Cabezon. But to his dismay, Chris Cabezon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 94th minute, Raul Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AZURDUY F.C.'s Rodrigo Balasi got control of the ball when Mete Ferro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The New England Minas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
