The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sem Titulescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 9th minute Pipo Inzaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marián De Bruyne in the 11th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Segundo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Gol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilmar Couto's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Sem Titulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cory Kirkland, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Cory Kirkland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sem Titulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pipo Inzaghi scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Segundo Gol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chris Cabezon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Sem Titulescu made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cory Kirkland made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Gilmar Couto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Segundo Gol. Gilmar Couto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 59th minute, Pipo Inzaghi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, Pipo Inzaghi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jataiense Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New England Minas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Pipo Inzaghi got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jataiense Futebol Clube's William Mineiro was substituted for Kara-Murat Goiano. Pipo Inzaghi kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, New England Minas's Segundo Gol got control of the ball when Gilmar Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Chris Cabezon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sem Titulescu was relentless in the 74th minute of the game.
