The audience thought a goal was coming when Korneliusz Pawlak got free with Robbie McLeish in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goalkeeper Robbie McLeish had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Korneliusz Pawlak. Pawel Paciuszko kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Robbie McLeish made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korneliusz Pawlak in the 88th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Smiddy Celts were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Barcelona for much of the match.
