In the 21st minute of the match Dexiators got a corner. Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eric Kinell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dexiators's Eric Kinell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mario Ovalle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Samuel Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Ovalle having to interfere. If Filiph Wiberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Lundström in the 26th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalkeeper Mario Ovalle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Ovalle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiph Wiberg in the 27th minute of the match. Filiph Wiberg got in the 60th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mario Ovalle handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Mario Ovalle was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filiph Wiberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 62 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Filiph Wiberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mario Ovalle. That made the score 0-7 in the 82 minute of play. Mario Ovalle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Lundström went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Dexiators's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
