With a little luck, River de Ramos Mejía's Gualterio Daunte got control of the ball when Xande Chaves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antônio Santos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gualterio Daunte 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Gualterio Daunte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute Antônio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Daunte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Antônio Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gualterio Daunte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, River de Ramos Mejía's Everardo Izel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 30th minute of the match, Xande Chaves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gualterio Daunte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Xande Chaves 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Santos in the 34th minute of play forced River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Gualterio Daunte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Daunte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Santos in the 37th minute of the match. After 39 minutes of play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualterio Daunte was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Esteve Dimo in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Pan De Wen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Santos in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Daunte saved River de Ramos Mejía from getting behind. The supporters of ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ booed when River de Ramos Mejía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Izel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xande Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 minutes, Everardo Izel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River de Ramos Mejía and the ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ players grew even worse after the yellow card. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Dário Martins was substituted for Antônio Santos. In a very dangerous position, a player in River de Ramos Mejía fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Esteve Dimo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Gualterio Daunte didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Dário Martins shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-0 in the ordered_time% minute. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ made a substitution. Celsinho Capixaba replaced Erivaldo Sena. Dário Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dário Martins in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Daunte saved River de Ramos Mejía from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Dário Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualterio Daunte was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. River de Ramos Mejía's Gualterio Daunte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Martins in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Dário Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Gualterio Daunte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucio Guib during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gualterio Daunte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Martins in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by River de Ramos Mejía's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xande Chaves was slow to take the kick. During this time ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s players had a chance to rest. In the 98th minute, Paolo Maldini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the River de Ramos Mejía players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙.
