The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, A.A. Cachila's Mario Cuenca got control of the ball when Cesar Rosio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th match minute, A.A. Cachila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elpidio Arias during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes A.A. Cachila got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Arias. In the 6th minute of the match Esteve Dimo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mario Cuenca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Casimiro Millrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mario Cuenca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, A.A. Cachila's Victorino Cibran got a free kick in the 12th minute. Casimiro Millrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Cuenca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Mario Cuenca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Rosio in the 17th minute of play. Gualterio Daunte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Topo Hans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Gorbea hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes River de Ramos Mejía got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Gorbea. In the 39th match minute, River de Ramos Mejía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Cambranes to maneuver through the defense. Ebrahim Patel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Daunte having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Topo Hans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Casimiro Millrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualterio Daunte stood somewhat misplaced when Topo Hans came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 52 minute. After a defensive mix-up in River de Ramos Mejía's zone, Topo Hans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Daunte came out of the goal and Topo Hans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Topo Hans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as A.A. Cachila's Topo Hans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gualterio Daunte. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Topo Hans in the 67th minute of play forced River de Ramos Mejía's goalkeeper Gualterio Daunte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes, Casimiro Millrick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River de Ramos Mejía and the A.A. Cachila players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Romeo Perico fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A. Cachila's protests and gave Romeo Perico a yellow card for diving instead. Romeo Perico hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, A.A. Cachila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. River de Ramos Mejía made a substitution. Lucio Guib replaced Basilio Ibar. In the 78th minute, Agustin Cordairo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ebrahim Patel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. In the 80th match minute, A.A. Cachila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ebrahim Patel to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Esteve Dimo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mario Cuenca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Federico Bernad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The A.A. Cachila players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
