Arnoud Vlimmens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Geronimo Abeijon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martijn Van Huytvenne. Arnoud Vlimmens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Toro in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Toro came free, but Arnoud Vlimmens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enzo Toro was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Enzo Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud Vlimmens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Martijn Van Huytvenne sped through ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geronimo Abeijon. Eulalio Abilio might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnoud Vlimmens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eulalio Abilio ran back to his position shaking his head. When Felipe Kauldi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the ⲨⲀⲚⲀ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Kauldi couldn't finish the play. Enzo Toro struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Arnoud Vlimmens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⲨⲀⲚⲀ. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Kauldi in the 83rd minute of play forced Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Arnoud Vlimmens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eulalio Abilios short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Arnoud Vlimmens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Enzo Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Van Huytvenne, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
