Denis Săndulescu started the match with the kick off. Gunnar Granqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Săndulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Osvaldo Otsoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. IFK Stockholm's Gunnar Granqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Săndulescu in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA got a corner. IFK Stockholm's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. George Vlăsiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's corner George Vlăsiu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gunnar Granqvist quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Adrian Wallgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Stockholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA the free kick. After a rather tough play, IFK Stockholm's Adrian Wallgren got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 24 played minutes IFK Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Kalfhage. In the 30th minute, Olle Kvick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Stockholm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The shot was a little too simple and Gunnar Granqvist could save by the left post. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Emilian Tender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Wallgren in the 40th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Otsoko to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Otsoko got free with Emilian Tender in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnar Granqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Vlăsiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, George Vlăsiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. George Vlăsiu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to IFK Stockholm getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Štefko Müür hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
