Abel Varanda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Braga in the 17th minute of play forced TAVIRA FC's goalkeeper Abel Varanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, TAVIRA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Lima came free, but Abel Varanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Paulo José Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abel Varanda. Paulo José Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, TAVIRA FC's Abel Varanda got control of the ball when Sydney Carioca tried to sneak it across the goal line. TAVIRA FC's Abel Varanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Lima in the 27th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, TAVIRA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Lima came free, but Abel Varanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TAVIRA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomás Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Abel Varanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Lima in the 54th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Barrenta SC's Thomás Braga made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Varanda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barrenta SC's Renan Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barrenta SC's Hugo Gerber was substituted for Luiz Fábio Lima. 65 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's Sydney Carioca broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Abel Varanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Carioca in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Isac Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Barrenta SC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Barrenta SC's Mário Damião looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 83 minutes into the match, Sydney Carioca notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of TAVIRA FC's Abel Varanda. Abel Varanda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abel Varanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Abel Varanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Gerber in the 89th minute of the match. Jaime Mourão hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Abel Varanda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Gerber went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Barrenta SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
