Kickers United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Roland Czerniejewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Markus Van Bombergen went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Milano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cederik Huts. That made the score 2-3 in the 93 minute of play. Alexander Höijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Roland Czerniejewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Veth Crystals eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
