When Jonas Bartolome fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pingos Futbol Club's protests and gave Jonas Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. Pingos Futbol Club's Gaspar Valery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Scalise in the 8th minute of play. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Claudio Scalise got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Maria Buljubasich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Batistuta in the 17th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Claudio Scalise who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pingos Futbol Club's Gaspar Valery was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raúl Gordillo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. José Maria Buljubasich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Orlin in the 26th minute of the match. Bernardino Medardo got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hernan Florinio. 35 minutes into the match, Pingos Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Scalise came free, but Gaspar Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Tejada's late challenge caught a Pingos Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Tejada helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Club Atlético Lea Papá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Tejada to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Galtero in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Buljubasich saved Club Atlético Lea Papá from getting behind. Jonas Bartolome hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Scalise to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Ivan Galtero got a very nice opportunity to score, but José Maria Buljubasich was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 55 minutes into the match, Pingos Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Sánchez came free, but Gaspar Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Galtero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but José Maria Buljubasich made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper José Maria Buljubasich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Galtero. 65 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Bartolome came free, but José Maria Buljubasich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Scalise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Valery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Scalise, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Laureano Orlin kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Valentin Arellano was substituted for Claudio Scalise. Club Atlético Lea Papá made a substitution. Facundo Mallo replaced Wilmer Melgar. Valentin Arellano struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Gaspar Valery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Lea Papá. After having played for 73 minutes, Valentin Arellano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Lea Papá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Arellano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Pingos Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Galtero. Pingos Futbol Club's Gustavo Gaur was substituted for Elvio Batistuta. The supporters of Club Atlético Lea Papá booed when Pingos Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Galtero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Club Atlético Lea Papá were awarded a corner. Horacio Carbonari went to the cornerflag to take it. If Valentin Arellano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Valentin Arellano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Valery made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 89th minute, Raúl Gordillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Bartolome in the 96th minute of play forced Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper José Maria Buljubasich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atlético Lea Papá had won after a very even match.
