Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sune Heidal took the kick off in the first half of the match. Wieslaw Trzenzalski kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Monks in Robes's Bøje Dyssen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Monks in Robes from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Källberg in the 10th minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Bøje Dyssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Norrlands Athen got a corner. Monks in Robes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. John Källberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Norrlands Athen's John Källberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bøje Dyssen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Knirke didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Sune Heidal made a precise shot to the right of Manfred Fribäck. Norrlands Athen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bøje Dyssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Källberg in the 23rd minute of play. Manfred Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Heidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timmi Jebat hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that John Källberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bøje Dyssen was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the game, Norrlands Athen's John Källberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bøje Dyssen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Eddie Trulsson put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Norrlands Athen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Monks in Robes:s goal. The referee gave Monks in Robes a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sune Heidal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck. 1-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 56th match minute, Norrlands Athen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Trzenzalski to maneuver through the defense. Monks in Robes's Bøje Dyssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Källberg in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Monks in Robes's zone, John Källberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bøje Dyssen came out of the goal and John Källberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bøje Dyssen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Ljusberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 76 minutes, Erik Ljusberg made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Monks in Robes's Bøje Dyssen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manfred Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Knirke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Ljusberg took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bøje Dyssen. Bøje Dyssen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Monks in Robes's Bøje Dyssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Ljusberg in the 85th minute of play. Bøje Dyssen came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Norrlands Athen's Erik Ljusberg. But to his dismay, Erik Ljusberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. In the 93rd minute Jörn Wennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bøje Dyssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Norrlands Athen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
