The audience thought a goal was coming when Gencer Karasu got free with Sandro Palomares in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The wind increased when Angelo Blue made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as West Town SC's Xaiver Ascarretazabal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Saadettin Şahinhan. That made the score 1-2 after 51 minutes of play. Saadettin Şahinhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xaiver Ascarretazabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
