Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Reinaud Goegebeur made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rey Benagassi in the 2nd minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rey Benagassi in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Visch saved Groove Athletic from getting behind. Evert Visch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Nobal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rey Benagassi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evert Visch having to make a save. In the 16th minute Rey Benagassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Visch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Groove Athletic's Evert Visch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rey Benagassi in the 17th minute of play. Evert Visch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rey Benagassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Diego Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Visch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evert Visch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Di Maria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Diego Di Maria made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Visch was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Nobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Visch having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Robbrecht Uytebroeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Di Maria in the 35th minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Groove Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Di Maria came free, but Evert Visch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Di Maria in the 45th minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Nobal was the one to do the kick off. After 71 played minutes Manuel Nobal could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-4 into the left cross. Evert Visch made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Diego Di Maria sent off a good shot on target. Diego Di Maria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Evert Visch came out and tried to block the shot, but Diego Di Maria slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute of the game Bart-Jan de Pelsmaker made a throw-in which Hannes De Koq played forward. Evert Visch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Nobal went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The Groove Athletic fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter de Guayaquil FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
