Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Cheeseman got free with Roger Seco in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Leicester Lions's Tony Cheeseman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roger Seco. Roger Seco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When Tony Cheeseman came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Leicester Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Cheeseman couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Grêmio's Roger Seco got control of the ball when Camron Rhodes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Camron Rhodes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Roger Seco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 22nd minute, Leicester Lions's Lucas Darling dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 30 minutes into the match, Grêmio's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastien Clifford came free, but Roger Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Darling, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Roger Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stu Hislop in the 35th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Camron Rhodes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Seco. That made the score 5-0 in the 37 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Bobby Pirés took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Roger Seco to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camron Rhodes in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Seco saved Grêmio from getting behind. Roger Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobby Pirés, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Camron Rhodes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Seco was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Roger Seco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stu Hislop went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Leicester Lions's Alexander Cheetham was substituted for Michal Budzyn. 78 minutes into the game, Sebastien Clifford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roger Seco didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Leicester Lions's Şükür Hagi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 12-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The Grêmio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Seco should have stopped the shot. Jorge Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Leicester Lions's Camron Rhodes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Seco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. Roger Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny White in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Leicester Lions's Benny White fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head.
