Hilario Madaleno's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Madaleno helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when Húsares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Madaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remicio Price in the 6th minute of play forced Húsares's goalkeeper Roque Jokin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Jokin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Felipe Hernández ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roque Jokin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Felipe Hernández might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roque Jokin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Hernández ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Sandro Cavareda managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Húsares's Felix Costante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Gustavo Martiarena got a free kick in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Costante got free with Sandro Cavareda in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Húsares's Roque Jokin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Hernández in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Costante got free with Sandro Cavareda in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Húsares's Hilario Madaleno got a free kick in the 28th minute. Felix Costante had several of the AFC Richmond's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Sandro Cavareda as he didn't even see the shot coming. Felix Costantes short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Sandro Cavareda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 38th minute, Felix Costante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Húsares fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 42 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Esteban José Fonseca. AFC Richmond's Esteban José Fonseca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Reynaldo Cordarin in the 45 minute of the game. In the 46th minute Felipe Hernández shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Jokin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Hernández to strike the kick off in the second half. If Timoteo Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Húsares's Roque Jokin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Hernández in the 56th minute of play. Roque Jokin made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Fernando Tolhauzsen sent off a good shot on target. After 59 minutes, Felix Costante made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. AFC Richmond's Sandro Cavareda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AFC Richmond's Enrique Arostegui was substituted for Felipe Hernández. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Felix Costante sped through AFC Richmond's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Cavareda. The audience was convinced that Felix Costante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Cavareda was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Aníbal Marraccini kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Húsares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Remicio Price had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Jokin. Húsares's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remicio Price was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Roque Jokin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remicio Price in the 79th minute of the match. Sandro Cavareda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Costante's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by German Jobo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, German Jobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Húsares's goalkeeper Roque Jokin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Arostegui. Sandro Cavareda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Costante, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A collision led to Húsares getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Reynaldo Cordarin hit a great ball. Enrique Arostegui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Roque Jokin made a huge save. Roque Jokin made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Enrique Arostegui sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Aníbal Marraccini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Jokin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the AFC Richmond players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Húsares.
