The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cha Fe FC booed when Black Rose 1979 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Florin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ritchie Obis succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. 18 minutes into the match, Cha Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Orlin came free, but Patricio Pepillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Virila in the 26th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Patricio Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Placido Richie hit a great ball. When Norberto Orlin came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Black Rose 1979 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Orlin couldn't finish the play. Patricio Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Orlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th play minute Müjdat Atasan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Patricio Pepillo. 3-1. Patricio Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo-Nicolás Pérez in the 42nd minute of the match. Black Rose 1979's Ritchie Obis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Patricio Fillol was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Evelio Edur capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evelio Edur really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. 57 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Edur came free, but Patricio Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Virila got free with Patricio Fillol in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the game, Enzo-Nicolás Pérez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Patricio Pepillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cha Fe FC's Patricio Pepillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ritchie Obis in the 65th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Cha Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ritchie Obis came free, but Patricio Pepillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Müjdat Atasan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Patricio Pepillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Black Rose 1979's Norberto Orlin got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Enzo-Nicolás Pérez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Pepillo. Cha Fe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo-Nicolás Pérez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-3. Black Rose 1979's Patricio Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Edur in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Marco Abalos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Fillol. Black Rose 1979's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Abalos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-4. Black Rose 1979 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cha Fe FC for a fine match.
