After 14 minutes of play, Bennis's Cai Cheng Sang made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Fagundes was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Leonardo Jara managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Lima Team's Gusmão Candeias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute, Cai Cheng Sang made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Fagundes. Lima Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Bennis's Cai Cheng Sang in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. The corner led Bennis's Lin Xuan Hai to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Fagundes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Bennis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cai Cheng Sang in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Fagundes saved Lima Team from getting behind. When Bennis's Cai Cheng Sang in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo Fagundes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Cheng Sang in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lima Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lin Xuan Hai was slow to take the kick. During this time Bennis's players had a chance to rest. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Åke Granberg made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Fabiano Carrasqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lima Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bennis the free kick. Fabiano Carrasqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Thodoris Katsiaros's late challenge caught a Lima Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thodoris Katsiaros helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Bennis's Cai Cheng Sang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Fagundes. That made the score 0-5 after 55 minutes of play. Paulo Fagundes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cai Cheng Sang in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Fagundes saved Lima Team from getting behind. 73 minutes into the game, Angélico Ventura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Leonardo Jara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bennis's Roy Vesterberg was substituted for Aloísio Senna. Bennis's Pål Uggstedt was substituted for Cai Cheng Sang. In the 80th minute, Bennis's Edwin Söderqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. In the 87th match minute, Bennis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Lira to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Bennis's Pål Uggstedt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Fagundes. That made the score 1-7 after 91 minutes of play.
